I love words, as most of us who write blogs and share our thoughts and observations do.
I am such a visual learner, so I prefer seeing the words, then only listening to them.
However, I know there are many (two in my household) who have had a complicated relationship with words due to learning differences. They want to read what I write, but it takes so much extra effort, and they don’t always have enough reserves after working so hard all day to overcome life’s challenges.
The Lord has been prodding and challenging me to expand the media of how I share my life and spiritual journey to reach more people in a format they can easily engage. This has led to my step of faith and out of my comfort zone to create the Secret Spring YouTube channel https://youtube.com/@asecretspring?si=0vk45qOHVkGn4WXF to complement the blog.
I hope to share what I have found helpful over almost three decades of following Jesus, in addition to what I learned in Bible college and seminary, conveniently. Life as a wife, mother, and homeschool mom has taught me a lot, most often the hard way, so it’s a joy to share and possibly save others from similar struggles or spark creative solutions.
I am confident that as I share, people will “hear” or sense the whispers and revelation of Holy Spirit for their situation. The goal is to empower Christians to read God’s Word with Holy Spirit’s leading and guiding to feed themselves. I am a waiter of sorts, recommending a meal and bringing it to the proverbial table. Each person has to choose to eat for themselves and do it every day!
The more we can come to Sunday services filled with Holy Spirit to worship Jesus, the more powerfully He can move and touch the weak, brokenhearted, or discouraged around us.
“The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit. And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!””
Romans 8:14-16 TPT
Celebrity Christianity is fading so ordinary Christians like you and me can mature and demonstrate the King and His Kingdom wherever we go: the workplace, classroom, grocery store, dog park, anywhere!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting me over the years here on the blog. I sincerely appreciate it. I trust my obedience will bear fruit as those who would benefit from the Secret Spring blog and YouTube channel will be drawn supernaturally or by word of mouth as people share on social media.
My goal is to faithfully steward whoever the Lord brings, to build up the Body of Christ, and to point everyone to Jesus through Holy Spirit no matter the platform.
May we all walk in faith and obedience to what the Lord calls us to do this season as we prepare for what lies ahead. We may not know the details, but we can stay connected to the One who does and has already made provision. It’s time for the church to arise and shine in strength and faith for the honor and glory of King Jesus!
