Goal #1: Boast In Jesus & Grow In Knowledge

I don’t watch the news, but plenty of negative reports flood social media about all the bad in the world —what the enemy is doing. The world’s cries flaunt death, turmoil, chaos, wars, and rumors of wars ad nauseam.

It is far too easy for even Christians to get caught up in the current negativity and swept away into a sea of depression. However, this is not our inheritance as children of the Most High God!

We need to share testimonies aggressively to release the goodness of our God! We need to share how the Lord is coming through and breaking into the challenging situations we may find ourselves.

Testimony is the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10) and releases a grace for God to do it AGAIN! This is all the more reason to shout His works from the rooftops and share His faithfulness, especially with someone walking through a difficult season. It may just be a lifeline, a source of strength not to quit!

In my last post, Read Here I shared some of the goals of the Secret Spring community.

I hope it is clearer why a community that exists to boast and testify about Jesus is vitally important, now more than ever, and probably even more so in the coming months and years.

In closing, I want to emphasize the second part of the first goal, “grow in our knowledge of Him.”

We need fresh vision of the beauty of Jesus.

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.” Psalms 27:4 NKJV

He wants to dwell with us in extraordinary ways and have the most profound relationship possible on this side of heaven.

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18 NKJV

“who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,” Hebrews 1:3 NKJV

Allow these scriptures and others to provoke your gratitude and appreciation for who Jesus is and all He has done and is doing!

I conclude with this powerful prayer found in Ephesians.

“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.” Ephesians 1:17-19 NKJV
